If you like helping others and you like to teach, please consider joining VietMD volunteer staff. Everyone here shares one commitment: to help Vietnamese doctors and students. You can help VietMD.Net at any levels that you are comfortable with. You will be working with a talent and enthusiastic group of US physicians, scientists, and students. For MD/DO students and residents, these are unique opportunities to build up your resume and leadership skills.  

These are current open positions. Updated 01/2012 

1. USMLE Step 1,2 CK, 2 CS, and 3 lecturers:
To teach General Medical English Course. You will teach doctors and students in Vietnam based on USMLE knowledge. You will have the opportunity to come to Vietnam and teach or teach online. If you are a US licensed physician, you will have the opportunity to practice in Vietnam while you are there. 

Minimum requirements: US resident physicians and have passed at least 3 out 4 USMLE Steps. 

2. Director of Fundraising and Scholarship:
Successful candidate will lead the division of foundation and scholarships. The director will plan fund raising event, manage scholarship funding, and finding funds for the organization

3. Physician Mentor for Observership
If you are a licensed and practicing US physician, please consider to become a VietMD.Net physician mentor for observership. You will have a mentee, who is a Vietnamese Medical Graduate and have passed at least 1 USMLE Steps, to follow or shadow you. There will be no patient contact and you will not be responsible for any legal issues. 

The goal of this observership is to provide the Vietnamese Medical Graduate an idea how the US healthcare system works and for the mentee gain US clinical experience via observation. This experience will help the VMG in residency application. Your help and teaching are appreciated.

4. Medical providers for medical mission trip in Vietnam
If you are a US physician, resident, or senior MD/DO student, please consider to join VietMD.Net for medical mission trips in Vietnam. We will work with Vietnamese physicians to provide basic medical care for underserved and poor patients in Vietnam. 

Currently, we do not have any trips planned yet. Check back soon with more information.
